Four activities you can do this long weekend that will lift your spirit.
Spring is the perfect time to renew your love of the outdoors and do something the fills your soul.
1) Have you trekked to the woods this spring? Now is the perfect time to explore the forest floor for spring mushrooms and fiddleheads.
2) Refresh your front door with a welcoming wreath and fill urns with frost hardy plants like Pansies, Calendula (which is edible – pretty in salads and on top of cakes, not to mention has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant components) and Dianthus.
3) Plant those seeds this weekend. It’s not too late.
4) As more and more people learn about the benefits of plants in their daily lives, more courses for foraging are “popping up”. Join a group or sign up for a foraging class. See below for some of my recommend books.
